Meet Leila

I have a deep passion for my work as a therapist. I’ll bring innovative ideas to our work together; I thrive on being creative, collaborative, and flexible. My approach is all about being affirmative, listening closely, and using empathy to truly understand what it's like to walk in your shoes. Let's set some goals together to guide us while also focusing on your immediate needs. I'll help you tap into your intuition when we brainstorm and solve issues. I will always strive to create a safe space for you, fostering encouragement, collaboration, and courage. I bring all these traits to our therapy sessions to help you tackle tough challenges and break through barriers.

MyExperiance

I am a registered psychotherapist (NLC.0109908) in the state of Colorado and a licensed mental health counselor (LH61075178) in the state of Washington. I graduated with my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School. I completed my counseling internship at Seattle Pacific University Counseling Center, working with college students on issues related to personal growth, identity exploration, grief and loss, anxiety, body image, internalized oppression, sexuality, and trauma.

My work experience since graduation has entailed treating adolescents and adults with eating disorders, as well as individual mental health counseling and coaching on a range of issues. I've received training in many evidence-based treatments including EMDR, CBT, DBT, and RO-DBT. I have extensive experience working with adolescents and adults to increase their self esteem and self image.

Along with providing psychoeducation, I also provide support for families of loved ones with mental illness. I am trained in both Family-Based Treatment and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy.
